Thomas I. Pierce (Tommy), 74, Savannah, surrounded by loved ones, died peacefully at 5:31p.m., Sunday, June. 11, 2017, from respiratory failure.
Tommy was born Dec. 21, 1942, in Savannah, GA and was a lifelong area resident. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and prior to retirement served as a trust officer for Savannah Bank and Trust.
He is survived by his cousins, George and Mary Pierce and family, Dorothy Pierce Anderson and family, Madlyn Pierce Howard and family, Jim and Sharon Story and family; numerous cousins and dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife Barthela Jo Wrather Pierce, brother, James Pierce, and parents, James and Mildred Pierce.
A visitation will be held for those that would like to pay their respects for Tommy on June 26th at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. A private burial will be in South Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Kentucky where he will be laid to rest with his late wife.
Remembrances may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Savannah.
